Valentine’s Love

Puppy kisses are extra special on Valentine’s Day.  The family was decked out in matching heart socks as we headed to the aquarium.  Later I captured some shots of my little love enjoyed his special balloon. (Best Gift EVER! – until the stick broke at least)  We had a wonderful day full of an abundance of love.  XOXO

Best of January 2016

My New Year’s Resolution for 2016 was to start a blog where I could share my photography.  Last year I (re)taught myself how to shoot in Manual, took a few classes, and taught myself to edit.  I figured 2016 would be a great time to start sharing photos. I’m not sure how often I’ll get around to blogging, but at the very least, I’d like to share my favorite photos from each month.  Here is January!

We brought in the New Year in San Diego and celebrated with some rock throwing at the beach.  We went on excursions to the National Zoo to see the new panda, Bei Bei, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Renwick museum to see the Wonder exhibit, and the Botanical Gardens.  S turned 18 months which is still crazy to me.  And of course, we experienced our first blizzard, Jonas.  I think the year is off to a great start, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store.

My Name is Jonas

We survived our first blizzard.  Storm Jonas arrived last week, and with it, brought 2+ feet of snow.  I may have had the Weezer song playing on constant in my head.  S loved going out in the snow, and would bring his boots and jacket over when he was interested.

A neighbor set up a small sledding hill which we were able to try out. Most of the weekend was spent indoors eating soup and drinking tea.  The snow plows never really made it to our  neighborhood, so wonderful husband helped a neighbor shovel our road.

I’m grateful that we never lost power, and we were able to bond with some of our neighbors.  The fresh show was so beautiful, but I’m hoping the next storm brings a bit less snow.
